Reservations Settings

2 min read

Reservation settings control what guests see in confirmation emails after they book a table — policies, dress code, check-in rules, and more.

Open the sidebar, click Settings, then Reservations. On that page, scroll to the Reservation settings section (chit and printer info are in Printers & receipts on the same page).

Reservation settings

Reservation note — Rich text added to confirmation emails when customers purchase a reservation. Include anything they need at the door: age requirements, dress code, check-in time, cancellation policy, beverage minimums, and who to contact with questions.

The more complete your note, the fewer surprises at check-in. See Venue Details for general venue info; this field is specifically for post-booking email copy.

Example topics to cover:

  • Check-in deadline and ID requirements
  • Beverage minimums and how tax/gratuity apply
  • Cancellation and refund policy
  • Venue rules (arrival together, no outside bottles, etc.)

Click Save when you've updated the note.

Reservation Substatuses

Add custom substatus labels staff can assign to a reservation in addition to its status — useful for night-of workflows like "waiting on deposit," "needs host," or "ready to seat."

Web only for now. Reservation Substatuses are available on TablelistPro Web. Mobile app support is coming soon.

  1. Open SettingsReservations.
  2. Scroll to Reservation Substatuses.
  3. Click Add substatus, type a label, and repeat for each option your team needs.
  4. Click Save.

Once configured, staff can set a Substatus on a reservation from the reservation slide-out, see it in the Reservations list, and filter by it.
