Toast integration

3 min read

Connect Toast Standard API so TablelistPro can pull Toast orders into reservations for easier table-spend reconciliation.

You'll need permission to manage organization settings. For the Integrations page flow, see Adding Integrations. For credential handling, see Integration security and your data.

What Toast sends to TablelistPro

Toast orders can be matched to TablelistPro reservations, including ticket details, table, guest name, subtotal, tax, tip, and total.

After you add a Toast order to a reservation, TablelistPro updates the customer's spend numbers.

Use Toast orders on a reservation

  1. Open Reservations, then open the reservation.
  2. Go to Details -> Payment.
  3. Click Select POS Order.
  4. Search by customer name or ticket number.
  5. Select the Toast order to add it to the reservation.

Your customer spend numbers update in TablelistPro.

Set up the integration

  1. Open the sidebar, click Settings, then Integrations.
  2. Click +, choose Toast, and wait for the setup panel to open (or open an existing Toast integration to edit).
  3. Enter your Toast Standard API credentials:
    • Client ID (required)
    • Client Secret (required)
    • Restaurant GUID (Toast-Restaurant-External-ID) (required)
  4. Click Save.

The integration saves as active when all required Toast fields are valid.

After the first save, Client Secret is masked. Leave it blank on later edits to keep the existing secret.

Restaurant GUID (Toast-Restaurant-External-ID) is Toast's unique identifier for your restaurant location. If you don't know it, contact your Toast representative or Toast Support and ask for the Restaurant GUID associated with your Standard API credentials.

Management Group GUID is discovered by TablelistPro during Toast API calls and isn't required as manual input.

Where to create credentials in Toast

Create or manage Toast Standard API credentials in Toast Web after Standard API access is enabled for your account.

  1. Log in to Toast Web.
  2. Go to Integrations -> Toast API Access -> Manage Credentials.
  3. Click Create New Credentials and choose Standard API.
  4. Configure the credentials:
    • Enter a descriptive credential name, like "TablelistPro Integration".
    • Select the API scopes you want to grant.
    • Select the restaurant locations the credentials should access.
  5. Click Confirm.

Toast creates the credential set and displays the Client ID and Client Secret. Enter those values in TablelistPro, along with your Restaurant GUID (Toast-Restaurant-External-ID).

If you don't see Toast API Access, your Toast account may be missing one of these:

  • Manage Integrations permission in Toast
  • A subscription that includes Standard API Access (Toast Restaurant Management Suite Essentials or higher)
  • Admin-granted access to the Toast API tools
